Lucas González holds a Ph.D. in political science from the University of Notre Dame. He holds a master's degree in political science from the University of Notre Dame, a master's degree in Latin American studies from Oxford University and a master's degree in public policy from Georgetown University-UNSAM.
He is an independent researcher at CONICET, a full professor at the Universidad Nacional de San Martín and a senior researcher at the Universidad Católica Argentina.
He has been a visiting professor and researcher at Brown University (USA), the Australian National University, the University of KwaZulu-Natal (South Africa), the University of Salamanca (Spain), the Getulio Vargas Foundation and the Institute of Political and Social Studies (IESP) (Brazil) and the European Academy (EURAC, Italy).
