The 48th ANPAD Annual Meeting – EnANPAD 2024 – will be held in person, at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Florianópolis, with 3 days of academic activities.
This year’s central theme is Reimagining the Role of Organizations in a World of Geopolitical Tensions, Social Inequality, and Environmental Crisis.
Global geopolitical tensions are reshaping organizational dynamics and operations, exerting pressure on institutions and governments. Consequently, these entities have had to develop contingency plans and policies to navigate diverse scenarios within a society that increasingly scrutinizes the “real value” organizations provide and their impact on communities. This institutional dilemma has amplified uncertainty and volatility, driving up production and distribution costs and complicating decision-making. Simultaneously, organizations grapple with global imperatives, such as reducing social disparities and addressing the environmental crisis. The central theme of the conference seeks to foster dialogue on these contemporary challenges, incorporating perspectives from various stakeholders, including academia, representatives from diverse economic sectors, public policymakers, and society at large.
