Resumo
In recent years, a growing number of entrepreneurship programs worldwide to qualify entrepreneurs in various aspects, from leadership to finance, from management topics to export opportunities, became a reality. However, despite this scenario, even though the participants may enjoy the programs in different ways, it is significant to focus on the intended program results considering the entrepreneurs' education level and how old their company is, in which sector they operate the market itself, how old are the entrepreneurs and so on. More than that, it is necessary to understand if Brazilian female entrepreneurs can use what they have learned to face the challenges of exporting. This article investigates how vital entrepreneurship training programs are to help Brazilian women-led businesses face barriers to export. The results were achieved by using in-depth interviews with three training program coordinators and a survey with 54 female entrepreneurs to understand that scenario from their point of view. Based on the achieved results, it was found that the effect of the export training programs addressed to the trade market is more pronounced in networking and the foreign buyers' approaches.
